Info Tech Class - 2/17/09

SOA - reminds me of the in-class exercise we did about the enterprise of the future. One of the characteristics our group came up with was that enterprises will be specialty firms, meaning each firm basically focuses on the core competency...every service/product is offered by the best of the breed. It is kind of demonstrated by the huge conglomerates of the 70's (of totally unrelated businesses) that had to start breaking up to survive in the 90's.
